Marketing attribution can be a complex area to navigate. The methodology we recommend would depend on your company’s lifecycle stage. How much money are you spending on marketing, how many channels do you advertise on and what are they, what internal resources do you have available and what is the typical customer journey to purchase are all questions we would need to answer in order to make an assessment. For more mature companies we would recommend an overarching measurement strategy where a multi-touch model (MTA) is one component along with incrementality testing and potentially a Marketing Mix Model. However for early-stage companies this is likely to be overkill and a simple MTA may suffice.
